Course Description

The Payroll Management Level 5 programme is designed for experienced payroll professionals who have responsibility for overseeing payroll operations or who are progressing into senior payroll leadership roles. While the underpinning apprenticeship standard is Payroll Assistant Manager Level 5, this programme is deliberately positioned and delivered as Payroll Management Level 5, focusing on strategic and operational leadership rather than assistant-level duties.

Learners develop advanced knowledge of payroll legislation, governance, systems, and risk management, alongside leadership and stakeholder management capability.

The programme includes the CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) Level 5 qualification, providing industry-recognised accreditation alongside the apprenticeship standard. Delivered through a blended remote model, the programme ensures learning is embedded within live payroll environments, supporting both immediate impact and long-term organisational resilience.
