Course Description

The Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Level 4 apprenticeship develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work effectively with children, young people and families in diverse settings. Learners build capability in assessing complex needs, planning and delivering support interventions and applying professional judgement in risk-informed contexts. The programme balances theory with practical workplace application, enabling learners to apply learning directly to real work tasks and organisational priorities.

Learners explore topics including developmental needs across the lifespan, safeguarding and risk management, multi-agency working, reflective practice and evidence-based intervention methods. They are supported to improve communication, build rapport with service users and foster positive change. By completion, individuals are prepared to deliver high-quality practice that supports improved wellbeing, resilience and life outcomes for children, young people and families.
