19 or older as of 31st August 2024
Must be unemployed
Not in government funded education
Reasonable standard of maths and English
Right to live and work in UK
Lived in the UK for the last 3 years
Must be a resident of North East Combined Authority
All learners must have either a Passport, Driving License, Provisional, Birth Certificate or Biometric Residency Permit card/Valid Visa for non EU nationals to be enrolled onto the course.
Must have access to either a laptop, tablet or PC, A smart phone will not suffice unfortunately

Course Description

This is a fantastic Warehousing based online course, open to residents of Cambridge & Peterborough.

Qualifications to Gain:

Award in Preparing to Work in Express Logistics L1
Award in Understanding Carbon Awareness and Energy Management L1

Units covered:

Health & Safety in Express Logistics: Understanding the main legislation, hazards, risks, control measures, principles of risk assessment, and required PPE.

Supply Chain Elements: Exploring different job roles and how Express Delivery fits into the Supply Chain.

Basic Job Requirements: Familiarization with terminology and delivery methods required for roles such as warehouse operative or delivery driver.

Manual Handling Techniques: Learning about different types of lifting aids used in the Supply Chain.

Simulation Activities: Applying knowledge from previous units to demonstrate understanding of Health & Safety and various aspects of Express Logistics.
