Course Eligibility

  • Must be unemployed or employed, but able to commit to a 6 week training program (daily hours Mon-Fri)
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Learners must be aged 19 or older on or before 31 August 2025
  • Must not have taken part in another Skills Bootcamp within the current financial year (April 2025 to current date)
  • Have lived in England for at least the last three consecutive years, (with the exception of Ukrainian citizens, who would be eligible, regardless of timescale)
  • Cannot be in any other full time education
  • Open to residents within Warrington and Cheshire who can travel to Warrington

Course Description

This Skills Bootcamp includes a DBS, Paediatric First Aid, a Work Experience Placement and a Guaranteed Job Interview! 

This course is perfect if you want to start a career as a teaching assistant or any other support role in a school, including learning support assistant, learning support worker, pastoral support officer or SEN teaching assistant.

This course was created with the help of schools to help people start a rewarding career in education.

This is a really good course as it is working towards the desirable level 3 qualification (no need to have a level 1 or level 2 already) plus DBS will be covered and also included is a work experience placement as well as a guaranteed job interview!  

It really is a great way into a career as a Teaching Assistant!

Course Duration: 6 Weeks
Blended Learning: Majority of the training will be online, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, weekly, (Flexibility can be offered for commitments such as school runs etc) with two days classroom training in the first week only, plus two days in person First Aid in week six – Location will be in Warrington

For the course, you will need either a laptop, desktop computer or a tablet with a keyboard. Devices must be compatible with Microsoft Teams.
