Learners must be aged 18 or older before 31st August 2023
This course is fundable in all areas across the UK, EXCEPT from the following areas: Greater Manchester, Liverpool, West of England, West Midlands, Tees Valley, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, South and West Yorkshire.
Must be unemployed and in receipt of a benefit (Proof will be requested to access funding)
Learners MUST have access to a laptop or a computer with internet access due to this being an online course
A UK resident for 3 years or more

Course Description

Though this course specialises in supporting over 50s’ into self employment and business start up, ALL AGES from 18+ are welcome

Turn your business idea into reality without any prior knowledge!

This is an online course designed to support individuals seeking to become self-employed. The programme is delivered as a series of pre-recorded video modules along with 1:2:1 mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs and business advisors, peer-to-peer online group sessions and workshops.

All the videos are transcribed and captioned for anyone with accessibility issues. The programme is ideally suited to claimants who are considering self-employment or at the early stage of their business. This is a very flexible online learning program which allows for learners’ other commitments.

The training will help you to:

Determine your ideal customer and where to find them

Understand how to price your product or service

Know the legal requirements of running your business

Create a one-page business plan

Feel more confident about the steps you need to take to start or grow your business
