Course Eligibility

  • Valid British Passport or Birth Certificate (If non-British, a Residence Permit or Proof of Immigration status, such as a Visa Document/Share Code, is required)
  • Have the right to abode for the past 3 years
  • Proof of address (Utility Bill/Bank Statement dated within the last three months)
  • Proof of benefits in receipt – If on Universal Credit, please log in to your online account and screenshot the Payments Page, ensuring the deductions section is included
  • Must achieve certain levels in an online English, Maths, and ICT assessment
  • Must be a London resident
  • Has to be 19+ years old
  • Not in any form of Employment, Education, or Training
  • If employed, must be working fewer than 14 hours per week and earning under £21,000 annually
  • Have not previously studied the same course 

Course Description

This hybrid Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification is an accredited qualification, designed to provide a you with the foundations required to work in the care industry.

Level 2 – Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent
Level 2 – Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes

For the online element of this course, you must have access to the internet and either a laptop, tablet or PC. Unfortunately a smart phone will not suffice.

  1. Principles of communication in adult social care Setting settings
  2. Principles of Personal Development in adult social care settings
  3. Principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in adult social care settings
  4. Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
  5. Introduction to duty of care in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings
  6. Understand the role of the social care worker
  7. Understand person-centred approaches in adult social care
  8.  Understand health and safety in social care settings
  9. Understand how to handle information in social care settings

Days: 2 days per week (Tuesday & Fridays) | 9:30am – 3:30pm
