Course Eligibility

  • 19+ as of the 31st August 2025
  • Resident of Kent or Medway
  • Have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years (Unless Refugee)
  • Unemployed and in receipt of benefits or financially provided for or economically inactive.
  • Committed and have the means to work FULL TIME including school holidays. 
  • Not in any other form of Employment or Training 
  • Does not hold a Level 2 or above in Care or Level 3 or Equivalent in First Aid. 
  • The course is Tutor Led Online via Teams however 2 Days of training are held face-to-face at a site in kent/Medway for First Aid (Location TBC and we will inform learners of this prior to start)- Learners need to be able to travel to attend otherwise they will not be put onto the course. 

Course Description

Develop Your Skills in Care with Guaranteed Interviews on successful completion.

This is a Care Skills Bootcamp open to residents of Kent and Medway.

What you will Learn: 

Level 2 Award in Manual Handling – Principles and Practice
Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

By completing this bootcamp, learners will be equipped with the expertise and qualifications needed to make a significant impact in a Care setting.

In just 7 weeks, you’ll gain:

  • Practical, job-ready skills in areas like safeguarding, moving and assisting, emergency first aid, and digital care tools.
  • Specialist training options in Dementia Care, Safe Medication Handling, or End-of-Life Care (for those already working in the sector).
  • Guaranteed interviews with leading care employers (for unemployed participants).
  • Direct routes to promotion or apprenticeships for upskilling learners.

What You’ll Learn

Core programme (all learners):

  • Introduction to Adult Social Care
  • 15 Care Certificate knowledge standards
  • Safeguarding & Mental Health Awareness
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (accredited)
  • Moving & Assisting (including hoist use)
  • Digital Skills for Care (eMAR)
  • Employability skills & workplace behaviours

As this is an online course, you must have access to the internet and either a laptop, tablet or PC. Unfortunately a smart phone will not suffice.

Lessons and coursework are entirely online, with the exception of the First Aid & Manual Handling, allowing participants to access training from any location and fit the learning schedule around other commitments.

First Aid and Manual Handling will take place in Week 7 in a space in Dartford (Exact location will be confirmed upon successful enrolment)

Location: Online Course – Learn from the comfort of your own home!
Paediatric First Aid Certificate & Manual Handling: Learners will be required to complete 2 x days in house training for this section in Dartford. Full location details and dates TBC.
Days and Hours: Monday and Thursday – 9.30AM to 3.30PM.
