Course Description

Make a Real Difference — Start Your Journey in 2026!

This program provides mentored support with Young People age 16-24 in the North East London Borough, Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Havering, Enfield, Newham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, as well as an additional 2 boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark. 

Aged 16–24 and currently not in education, employment or training (NEET)?
You’re not alone — and we’re here to help you move forward.

Our NEET Programme is designed to support young people to build confidence, gain recognised qualifications, and take positive steps towards employment or further learning. If you’re interested in working with children and young people, this course is a great place to start.

What you’ll learn:

  • The fundamentals of caring for children and young people
  • Understanding child development, safety, and wellbeing
  • The roles and responsibilities within childcare and youth settings
  • Skills to progress into further training, apprenticeships, or employment

Who this programme is for:

This programme is especially for young people who are:

  • Carers or care leavers
  • Affected by criminal activity or substance misuse
  • Experiencing mental health challenges
  • Homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Have SEND
  • Or facing other barriers to work or learning

You’ll be supported in a safe, inclusive, and understanding environment where your experiences are respected.

Course schedule:

  • 1 day per week – every Tuesday online
  • 9:30am – 3:30pm
  • 6-week programme
