Course Eligibility

  • 19+ as of the 31st August 2025
  • Live in London or London Fringe (please see course info for areas included in London Fringe)
  • Have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years (Unless has Refugee status)
  • If Employed working less than 16 hours and Under London Living Wage £27,000 
  • Not in any other form of Employment or Training 
  • Does not hold a Level 2 or equivalent in anything relating to Health & Social Care. 
  • The course is a blend of Tutor Led Online via Teams and face-to-face training in Dalston Hackney.

Course Description

The Step into Care Bootcamp is a fully funded Skilks Bootcamp designed to help you begin a rewarding career in the health and social care sector. This course provides the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to start work in care — whether in residential, community, or home care settings.

This is a Level 2 equivalent qualification, drawing from selected Level 3 care standards to prepare you for real-world care environments. It’s ideal for anyone new to the sector or seeking to transition into care.
(Note: This course focuses on developing front-line care skills — not leadership or management training.)

• Internal Certificate of Attendance and Completion (issued by East Essex Vocational Training Limited)
• Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate
