Course Eligibility

 
  • You must be unemployed
  • Learners need to have the following ID: Passport or Birth Certificate (the right to live and work in the UK)
  • Out of Date Passport - Can be accepted if you can provide a letter with your name/address within the last 3 months.
  • Proof of address dated within the last 3 months of the course start date (Utility bill, bank statement, HMRC letter)
  • Candidates need to be 19 or older as of 31st August 2023
  • Must be a Greater Manchester resident
  • Must have access to a laptop, tablet or PC.
  • Can not be in any other form of education
  • Must be a UK resident for 3 years or more

Course Description

This is a remote course where you will learn from home with guidance from a tutor.

You must have access to a laptop, tablet or PC, a smart phone will not suffice unfortunately.

This course is online, however it is only available to residents of the following areas:

  • Wigan
  • Tameside
  • Oldham
  • Trafford

Units Covered:

  • Signs, symptoms and diagnosis of Autism.
  • Sources of information and support, legislation, and policy relevant to Autism.
  • Living with Autism.
  • Best practice relating to Autism.

Delivery:

This course is 6 weeks.

Classes are delivered remotely – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday for 6 weeks, Final week will be Monday to Friday.

9:30am until 2:30pm (assessment activities will take place outside these hours. Your tutor will be available up until 5pm each day).
