Course Eligibility

Learners MUST be unemployed, either claiming or not claiming a benefit (cannot be employed). Learners MUST be 19 years+ on enrollment We do need to see photo ID for these learners.  ID (If using a birth certificate you must provide your National Insurance number too) Sheffield residents only

Course Description

2 Weeks classroom based Level 1 Extended Certificate in Personal Development for Employability (PDE) & Essential Digital Skills (EDSQ) for residents of Sheffield only.

Free Android Tablet upon completion!!

Units Covered:

Essential Digital Skills

Being safe and responsible on line and while using digital devices
Using digital devices and handling information
Creating and Editing (simple image/word document)
Digital Communication (Email)
Transacting digitally (payments etc)
All 5 sections are a mix of exam questions and 2 practical activities i.e. work products.

 

Extended PDE

IT User Fundamentals

IT Security for Users

Using the Internet

Using Email

As well as the work based/employability units of Extended PDE:

Team Work

Creating a CV

Working with Others

Identify Strengths and Weaknesses

Searching for and Applying for Jobs using the internet

Duration: 2 Weeks (weekdays only)

Times: 9:30 – 3pm
