Course Eligibility

  • A UK resident for 3 years or more
  • Aged 19 or older on or before 31 August 2025
  • Must not be in any other form of education or training course 
  • Must have access to internet and either a tablet with a keypad, laptop or computer. A smart phone will not be compatible unfortunately.
  • Learners must be able to commit to a full time two week course (with flex for school runs/other commitments)
  • Course Description

    This is a 1 week interactive remote course for residents who live in Camden. You will learn from home with guidance from a tutor via a Microsoft Teams meeting.

    You must have access to a minimum of a tablet with a keypad, laptop or computer. A smart phone will not be compatible unfortunately.

    You will attend live online sessions with a tutor (9am – 4pm) for 1 week. There will be some flexibility during these hours for school runs and essential appointments.

      • This unit explores the key features of online selling and how it integrates into a wider sales and marketing strategy. It covers the requirements of using multiple media platforms, the strengths and limitations of different online‑selling software, and the role of tools like click‑through tracking and cookies in improving sales performance. Learners examine how to manage issues such as undeliverable and system failures, how to source and use target lists and databases, and how to select media and develop messages that effectively engage customers. The unit also covers measuring online‑selling success, the importance of accurate and clean data, and using customer feedback to enhance future online‑selling activity.

    • Promotion of Products & Services Through Social Media

      • This unit explores how social media can be used for market research and for promoting products or services, highlighting both the benefits and the risks involved. It covers key concepts such as online identity, common social networking platforms, and appropriate ethical and security practices when using social media. Learners develop practical skills including creating profiles, setting privacy levels, uploading promotional content, adding contacts, forming groups, and communicating with audiences. The unit also teaches how to recognise online scams, use secure passwords, and apply social media tools effectively to support marketing activities and customer engagement.

    • The Use of AI in Social Media

      • This unit introduces the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) and its importance in modern social media marketing. It explores different AI technologies and tools, highlighting the benefits they bring to social media management as well as the potential risks and ethical considerations. Learners gain practical experience by setting up and using AI applications to generate, optimise, and publish social media content, including creating an AI‑assisted social media post.
