Do you hold a valid driving licence and want to boost your career prospects in transport and logistics?
This course is designed to upskill motivated learners who aspire to gain their Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence and begin a rewarding career in the transport industry.

We’re offering an exciting opportunity to achieve an industry-recognised qualification through a fully funded Skills Bootcamp — available to residents of Leicestershire or individuals with a job offer from a Leicestershire-based employer.

Suitable candidates will have a confirmed job offer ready to start upon completion of the course.

Pathway Options!

Pathway A – Car to Cat C (Class 2)

Includes Medical, Theory Test, Training Vehicle, Driving Test and any other associated qualifications, including driver CPC or professional drivers.

Pathway B – Car to Cat C & E (Class 1)

Includes Medical, Theory Test, Training Vehicle, Driving Test and any other associated qualifications, including driver CPC or professional drivers.

Individual Person: FREE!

SME (Under 249 employees): £350+vat

Larger Business (over 250 employees): £1050+vat

What to Expect?

• First Step! Apply Now to provisionally book your place!
• Your course provider will contact you once you have submitted your job offer template
• You will be sent a Medical Voucher (D4) – You can now book into your local test centre
• You will be sent your “Starter Pack” – This will include your D2 Form
• You must send your completed starter pack including your (D2) Form and (D4) Form PLUS driving license to the DVLA to add on your HGV Licence – (The DVLA will take approx 3 weeks to return this)
• You must take this time to get online and complete your theory revision
• Your Theory test will be booked by week 5!
• Once your Theory test has been passed, you will be booked in for your practical, this is normally around week 8.

Flexible Learning – Classroom Course Element (Driving Time)

Car – Class 1 – 28 – 30 hours 

Car – Class 2  – 16 – 20 hours

Class 2 – Class 1 – 16 hours

CPC Training – 35 Hours  

100% Attendance is required throughout the course.
