  • Must be unemployed or on a low income (less than £25,000)
  • You can still apply even if you are not receiving a benefit
  • Aged 19 or older on or before 31 August 2025
  • Must not be in any other form of education or training course 
  • Must have access to either a Laptop/Tablet or PC
  • Must have internet access
  • Must not already hold the same qualification 
  • The programme is NOT available in the following regions: Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool, West and South Yorkshire, North of Tyne, Tees Valley, Cambridge and Peterborough, Bristol, Bath, Birmingham, The Black Country & Coventry. Course Description

This Level 3 Qualification could be your stepping stone that elevates you straight into management!

This is a remote course. You must have access to a laptop or computer.

You can work on this course at your own pace, as long as the course is completed within the 3 month time frame given.

Please ignore the course start date, this course has a rolling start which means as soon as you have completed your enrolment steps, you will be started!

Units within “Responsibilities of a Manager”

  • Explain how to select and apply different methods of communication
  • Describe why it is important to confirm and clarify work required in your area of responsibility with your manager.  
  • Explain why it is important to produce plans of work with your team.
  • Explain why it is important to take into account the views of others working in your area.
  • Explain why it is important to allocate work to others on a fair basis

Units within “Objective Setting & Communicating to Support Team”

  • Explain how to create a compelling vision for your area of responsibility
  • Explain how to apply different methods of communication with people across your area of responsibility
  • Describe how to apply different leadership styles in different situations and with different people

Units within “Managing Self Development”

  • Describe why it is important to consider your own values, career and personal goals and how these relate to your job role and professional development.
  • Describe how to evaluate the current requirements of a work role and how the requirements may evolve in the future.
  • Describe how to identify gaps between current knowledge and skills required for achieving objectives.
  • Explain how to set objectives which are SMART
  • Explain how to identify your own development needs
