Course Eligibility

  • 19+ as of the 31st August 2025
  • Resident of London
  • Have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years (Unless Refugee)
  • Unemployed or Employed, working less than 16 hours and Under London Living Wage £27,000
  • If Employed are looking to move into a new role or have the option to progress within their current role (this will be checked with Employer)
  • Committed and have the means to work FULL TIME 
  • Not in any other form of Education or Training 
  • Does not hold a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Care

Course Description

Level 2 Safeguarding, Prevent and Diabetes Management  – Online – London

This combined programme is designed to give learners a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification in both Safeguarding and Prevent and Care and Management of Diabetes. It is ideal for those working in, or aspiring to work in, education, health, social care, or community support roles.

Learners will develop the knowledge and confidence to safeguard and support vulnerable individuals while also understanding diabetes as a chronic condition, its management, and how to deliver appropriate care.

Learning Outcomes

By completing this combined programme, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of safeguarding and the Prevent Duty.
  • Recognise signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation and radicalisation.
  • Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns following statutory and organisational procedures.
  • Explain the different types of diabetes, risk factors, prevention and management strategies.
  • Support individuals with diabetes in monitoring, treatment and care planning.
  • Communicate effectively with vulnerable individuals to promote health, well-being and safety.

This is an Tutor lead Online course, delivered via Teams, open to residents of Greater London Authority.
