Course Eligibility

  • Must be unemployed or on a low income (less than £20,319)
  • Can be in receipt of a benefit or not (UC/JSA/ESA)
  • A UK resident for 3 years or more
  • Aged 19 or older on or before 31 August 2024
  • Must not be in any other form of education or training course 
  • Must have access to internet and either a laptop or PC
  • The programme is only open to residents of North East England NECA. 

Course Description

This is a 2 week remote course. You will learn from home with guidance from a tutor via a Microsoft Teams meeting.

You must have access to a laptop or computer.

You will have a live session with a tutor (10am – 4pm) We do have some flexibility for school runs.

Units Covered:

  • Exploring new and emerging technologies.
  • How technology impacts society and how to create it.
  • Cybersecurity and how to maintain it.
  • Digital Skills career progression, how it’s valued by employers.

Once you have completed the Digital Technologies side of the course, we will issue a voucher code via email which allows you to log in anytime to complete the Introduction to Criminal Psychology Certification section of the course at your own pace.

You must complete the Level 2 Digital course first.
