This funded Level 3 qualification provides a solid introduction to software development.
It is the perfect pathway to progress your Software Development skills to get into the workplace or to advance to the Level 5 Diploma in Web Application Development.
Project Management
Learners on our Level 3 Software Development Qualification course will experience the concepts, processes, and tools used to manage IT projects.
JavaScript
Learners will develop an understanding of this key element of software development, using JavaScript to build interactive web pages.
Object Oriented Programming
Learners will examine the features, tools and techniques of object-oriented programming and use a structured approach to the design and development of a program.
Programming Implementation
Our Level 3 Software Development Qualification course will familiarise learners with the underpinning concepts of programming and how it is implemented with Python.
Software Testing
Learners will understand the testing stages of software development from planning to acceptance and how automation can be applied to software testing.
Maths For Computing
Learners will develop maths skills for computing, including matrices, series and probability. Learners will also apply number systems, including binary and hexadecimal, and interpret data gathered for a defined purpose.
Robot Technology
Learners will develop an understanding of the principles and operations of robots. They will learn about robot control systems, the different types of sensors and their application in a robot.
Flexible Study Module
The course is delivered on a part-time flexible learning basis. Students will need to commit a minimum of 15 hours per week, but this time can be completed at a schedule that suits them.
In addition, there will be a two-hour live online class once a week to provide extra support. The facilitation team will send an email closer to the enrolment date asking learners which day and time works best, and then schedule the session accordingly.
